In the current edition of the Abington Suburban there is a story concerning an effort to have a pavillion at the proposed skate park adjacent to the township building built to honor a seventeen year old Clarks Summit resident who died by drowning while overdosing on over the counter medications after a party.
I am just wondering what the residents of Newton think about this particular propsosal? How many were even aware of it before this article hit the stands?
The next supervisors meeting is Monday June 11, at 7:30 PM.
Note;
The skate park itself is being built with private money and in kind donations, it does not involve any Newton tax revenue. However, the facility will be built on township property (there are protections in place to protect the township from liability for for any injuries that occur on the site).
