We received a request through our news link to put information out about the Abington Area Joint Recreation Board.

Newton Township is not a participant but our reader base has grown tremendously and people from neighboring communities come here.  It is also very close to Newton next to the State Hospital.

The message follows:

The Abington Area Joint Recreation Board (AAJRB) has received a DCNR Grant to conduct a Master Site Development Plan on behalf of developing the Abington Area Community Park located next to the Clarks Summit State Hospital.  

We ask you to please complete this Survey giving your thoughts on the recreation needs in the Abingtons, and forward the Survey to your membership.  The more responses, the better we will have an understanding your recreation needs in the Abingtons.
