12/13 Township meeting

There will be a special meeting of the supervisors held on December 29 at 7:30 to adopt the budget as well as the new police contract with Chief Reese. As well as any other business before the board.

At tonights meeting there was discussion concerning amending the garbage contract ordinance. It seems there are still a number of people filing for exemptions and the board wants to make some clarifications. They also discussed possibly making everyone with exemptions currently have to renew thier information annually. These are just discussions at this point.

The Rec Center announced that they are getting another grant via Wansacz office for the playground project. This time it is $10,000.
They also recieved a grant of $30,000 from a foundtion run by the Scranton family. This too is for the playground.

The contract signing for South Abington police coverage is still bogged down in details. It seems SA is looking to make changes with their agreement with Clarks Green and want similar ones in the Newton contract also. A meeting with SA officials is being looked into.

The 05 reorginaztional meeting will be January 3 and be followed by the regualar monthly meeting. There will not be a metting on the second Monday in January.

Also tonight the Zoning Hearing Board met to vote on the appeal of Milwaukee Cycle Shop concerning the number of storage trailors on the site.
The board voted to reject the appeal.
