Shooting on Sunday morning

Postby davidk » Sun Oct 30, 2005 6:06 pm

Does anyone know who is doing all the shooting on Sunday mornings?
It is happening somewhere between Laurle Hill and Valley View, or that general area.

Almost every Sunday morning, at the crack of dawn, someone is out banging away.

While I have nothing against target shooting I do not see where it is appropriate or acceptable to be doing it so early on  Sunday morning, let alone week after week. Especaily when people are trying to sleep.

Don't know exactly but there is an old farmer - don't know his name, that lives on Valley View between Bridge Lane and Forest Acres Drive.  He has a large old barn across from his house.   In the field behind his house he has a small shooting shack and he and his friends/family are  always blazing away, especially on weekends.

There are also some folks who live on Valley view between Bridge Lane and Beaver Pond that go berserk around this time of year.

I agree it was especially intense this weekend and they must have money to burn because they were shooting some big caliber stuff for quite some time, starting very early.  I wish too whoever it is they would do it a little later in the day.

It's hunting season, espcially waterfowl that started in September so that may be what you are hearing.
The problem I had was obviously target shooting and was at the crack of dawn almost every Sunday morning.
Soon after my post here it stopped and I appreciate the consideration. As I said, I've nothing against shooting but there are proper times to do so.
