Snow Fence and the condition of the boulevard

Has anyone else had it with the deplorable winter conditions on NR boulevard? When I first moved here Penn DOT put up snow fence and it worked well, especially along carpenters hill. Now every time it snows and the wind blows driving, even in light snow becomes dangerous.
Does anyone really know why Penn DOT stopped using snow fence?
I was told that some sort of study was done and it stated that snow fence did not work. I have not seen such a study and really doubt one was done.
We need Penn DOT to do thier job and keep the boulvard safe and passable!!
PS: This morning I saw an SAPD car leaving the township despite the bad driving conditons. Cheif Reese would have stopped and put on flashers yto slow traffic near the Middle School. We are really getting our money's worth with SAPD. (Kidding)
