Anyone interested in the early history of Newton, Ransom and the region in general may find the following site interesting. It is the digital version of a book published nearly 100 years ago about the region. Hardcover copies exist but are rare as they are so old and few were printed.

It looks like an interesting document. It also illustrates how the Internet (and other new technologies and processes) is useful to make such information easily available to so many.
