Township website

I was just at the "official" township website and see that it is still weeks and even months out of date.
The meeting minutes haven't been updated in months and the annoucements are all past due.
What is the purpose of having the site, especially with the address on the township sign in front of the muni building, if it's not going to be updated?
We need to get someone who can properly mange the site. Last I was told the guy who designed it was busy with other projects and didn't have time to work on it. That was many months ago.

Hi Dave,

If Township officials want to put out information it would be best to just put in on this website.  This website does not cost the taxpayers anything and most important, it works.

I say this as professional. If they look at the logs, they will see that they have no traffic and I do not think they ever will no matter how much money is wasted on it.  

If township officials use this website they will reach a lot of people and they do not have to pay a Webmaster to maintain it.

This website is also user friendly.  Anyone of them can log in and put information on here.  No special skills are required.

The purpose of this website is to get information out to the people of Newton and everyone should work together to accomplish that goal.

Here is a perfect cost free opportunity for the township supervisors to join their community in the electronic age and become proactive in communicating with their constituents.  However, knowing how they have resisted two way dialogue in the past I have to wonder if this will be another missed opportunity.  I hope not since it benefits everyone.
