wild cats

Does anyone have an answer on what can be done with a nieghbor feeding feral cats? I have been in contact with the Humane Soceity, and Officer Reese. The Humane Soceity said they would rent me a trap, and take the captured cats, and Officer Reese was to take care of it, but never did. This problem is not only effecting me, but also five of my nieghbors. It is not only a problem with the noise at night, but also with the mess they leave in the mulch and in the garden. The count was up to 17, but I after trapping 12, the number is back up to 9. What can be done? Can an ordiance get past to prevent this from happening? HELP!

Hello jgravine and welcome to the boards.

Educating the person that is doing the feeding and to have that person help capture the cats may be the best solution.

This link is to a story about a PA Township that passed an ordinance although an ordinance may not be needed if the person is creating a public nuisance. http://www.yorkdispatch.com/Stories/0,1 ... 93,00.html
