Local Store to Reopen

As most Newton residents know, our local country store, formerly known as Stanges (even under the last owner), has been closed for some time.  Good news, it about to reopen under new ownership in about 3 to 4 weeks as Rossi’s Market.  I met the owner today (Rossi) and he gave me the grand tour.  The entire interior has been gutted, redesigned and updated to code.  No area was left untouched.  All the old refrigeration and freezer equipment was completely removed.  There will be an extensive meat section as well all new freezers and refrigerator equipment.  The interior of the store will all be new and bear absolutely no resemblance to the old store.  Rossi intends to carry a full line of meats, hoagies, pizzas, fruits and vegetables, as well as every day staples.

It will be good to have our local store back completely updated and under fresh enthusiastic ownership.  It will be an asset to Newton and I wish him every success.  Keep an eye out for the opening.  :D

Hi Joe,

That’s great news.  I’m sure it will be welcomed by the people that live in the area and I hope that there are enough people to support it.

The store is located in the Red Barn Village on the Newton Ransom Blvd. near Valley View Dr.
