Cardboard recycling at Township bldg?
Posted: Sun Oct 03, 2010 9:09 pmSouth Abington Township has had a cardboard recycling drop off station behind the fire hall for several years now. I have dropped cardboard off there many times and have now learned to scout the bin before taking a load as it has become so popular that the bin is often full.
My question is, would the people of Newton support a similar drop off bin at the township building?
In SA it's Mascaro, the same company that serves Newton, that maintains the bin. I believe SA makes money on the deal, but even if they don't it's still a good thing in my opinion.
This idea was originally proposed by the Supervisor Shaffer years ago but was never implimented. I would be willing to bring it before the Supervisors at a future meeting but would like community imput to bolster the idea first.
