From The Scranton Times:

Reward offered in kitten case

SCRANTON — The Humane Society of Lackawanna County is offering a $250 reward for the arrest and conviction of those involved with the recent killing and mutilation of two kittens in Newton Township.

Authorities said the two kittens were killed and dumped on a porch along Valley View Drive on Oct. 31.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Humane Society at 585-0510.

Does anyone know anything about this??
This is awful.

Kittens in Newton

Around 7:15 Pm, in the evening of 10/31 (Halloween) I was returning from Stanges store and turned into Valley View from Newton Ransom.  About 200 feet into Valley View I saw 3 kittens scoot across the road from my right to left and join a fourth already in the underbrush on the side of the road.  I had to stop fairly hard because they came out of nowhere.

In the brief moment I saw them in my headlights they all appeared healthy and fine, obviously brothers and sisters from the same litter.  It was dark at this point.  I saw no people or children out and about.

I was shocked when I subsequently heard what happened to them.  The sicko-perverts who did this need to be locked up for life because they usually graduate to doing the same thing to people later on.
